Since the start of russia's brutal full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I've been trying to amplify Ukrainian voices by doing regular Instagram Lives with Ukrainian teachers. I've decided to start collecting them all here in one YouTube playlist and will be adding to them as I go along. This Live was with Natalia Liashko, a teacher from Kyiv. We talked about everything from her childhood in Vladivostok to her evolving sense of self, from why so many Ukrainians choose to return to a country at war rather than remain safely outside to her memories of the first few weeks of the full-scale invasion . . . and much more besides.
