Jewish settler in the occupied Westbank, Yisrael Medad - Jung & Naiv: Episode 840
Support our work ► http://www.paypal.me/JungNaiv Our guest is Yisrael Medad. He is an American-born Israeli writer, political activist and longtime resident of Shiloh in the occupied West Bank. Born in the United States, Medad moved to Israel in 1970 and to Shiloh in 1981. He has worked in and around Israeli politics for decades, including in the Knesset, and writes political commentary, including for the Jerusalem Post. Medad is one of the most prominent English-speaking voices defending the Israeli settlement project in Judea and Samaria, as he calls the West Bank. Tilo talks to Yisrael about his life in Shiloh, the history and politics of the settlement movement, Israeli security after October 7, Palestinian freedom, settler violence, the role of the IDF, and why he rejects the idea that Israeli settlements are illegal. He argues against a Palestinian state, discusses possible autonomy or one-state arrangements, defends his view of Jewish historic and legal rights to the land, and responds to questions about occupation, apartheid, international law, Gaza, Hamas, Netanyahu, Likud, Ben-Gvir, Smotrich, and the future of Shiloh.
