Smoke Alert (First Alert) SA769AC Smoke Detector | Unbox & Test

Unboxing and testing of a vintage First Alert hardwired smoke detector. This smoke detector was made by BRK Electronics, Inc in around 1980. This unit is the second hardwired model that BRK ever produced, directly succeeding the SS-749AC. This is the version made for First Alert, or Smoke Alert as it was first known. This model uses the same cover as the SA76RS with the smaller center, but most that I've seen have the later style cover with the small center and single lone slot. These were made from around 1975 all the way into the late 80's.
