Using KidPix 4 Deluxe Instead of Photoshop…

Remember KidPix? That chaotic, delightful kids' art program from the 90s / early 2000s? Maybe you played with it in the school computer lab, or maybe you were lucky enough to have it at home, unleashing your inner artist with rainbow stamps and a singing undo button (I made a boo-booooo yeahhh). In this video, I revisited KidPix 4 Deluxe (2004) to see if I could actually make something with it… specifically, real YouTube thumbnails. To make things even more cursed (errr...I mean, creative), I dusted off my parents’ original Sony Cybershot DSC-F707, a 5-megapixel digital camera from 2001, to capture some authentically Y2K-flavored photos. Naturally, I tried to use them in KidPix. This was actually the first program I ever used to manipulate photos, long before I ever opened Photoshop. Can it replace Photoshop? Absolutely not. But also... maybe? Let’s just say things got interesting. ps. Who wants to start a petition for Photoshop to add a singing “undo” button?
