Are we rocking yet? Writing sound processing in Rust using a guitar plugin as an example Alexander Miloserdov Selectel We'll explore how iconic guitar distortion was born from broken amps, what elements it consists of, how a guitar speaker influences it, and emulate this speaker in code. We'll test whether modern Rust (and its ecosystem) is sufficient for solving this problem in a way that would be suitable for studio recording, and we'll listen to the results.
