Rapidplay Tournament Game 7 | 150 Attack vs Pirc Defence | Tournament Winner!

In the final game of my rapidplay tournament series, I had White against the Pirc Defence and went for the 150 Attack. The 150 Attack is a simple, direct and attacking setup: create a queen +, bishop battery, castle queenside and launch a devastating attack against black's castled king! In this game, we started with the usual attacking ideas, but the position changed when my opponent created a weak pawn for themselves on d6. That gave us a reason to switch plans and start playing against the structural weakness rather than blindly continuing with the original attacking setup. Before we could fully capitalise on that weakness, my opponent blundered and gave us a winning position. From there, the main task was to stay calm, convert cleanly, and bring home the point. The win meant I finished the tournament as sole winner. Final score: 6/7. Next time, I’m hoping to graduate to the Major section, which has a 2000 ECF rating cap.
