Adding a VFD to the Quincy 340
The Quincy 340 air compressor is now in service, with a VFD providing three speeds to reduce noise and power consumption. This is a Fincor VFD from the 1980's... robust and heavy. It generates a stepped square-wave approximation of sine wave power. I did some sandblasting today... now I need a bigger sandblaster!
