Chico Jararaca - Um Cabra de Antônio Silvino o "Rifle de Ouro".

Francisco Nicácio Sobrinho, or "Chico Jararaca," as he was known in the cangaço movement, was a member of the gang of the famous Antônio Silvino, the "Golden Rifle," who is considered the most important cangaceiro in history before the rise of Lampião. After abandoning the cangaço movement, with Antônio Silvino's approval, Chico Jararaca returned to his homeland and began to live a simple and honest life, largely away from weapons. No crimes are known to have been committed by him, either during his time in the cangaço or afterward. The importance of this figure lies in his membership in the most prominent cangaceiro gang of his time and in his close association with some of the most important figures in the history of the cangaço movement. Chico Jararaca provided important testimonies throughout his life and is one of the few cangaceiros from Antônio Silvino's gang who were interviewed and whose image was recorded, thanks to the efforts of longtime scholars and researchers. A character whose story is little known among researchers and scholars of the subject in question, from now on, through this documentary featuring the testimony of Professor Lourival Andrade Júnior of UFRN - Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, a scholar of the cangaceiro's biography, will gain greater notoriety and prominence within the historiography of cangaço.
