Turkish Street Food at Home! The Pide Recipe Everyone Needs

If you have never made Turkish Pide at home, today is the day everything changes. Soft, sesame-crusted dough filled with spiced ground meat and bell pepper, sealed and scored the traditional way, baked until golden. This is the bread that stops people on the street in Istanbul, and now you can make it in your own kitchen.🍞 ⬇️ Full Recipe 🔹 Dough: — Water: 162 ml — Yeast: 5 g — Sugar: 5 g — Salt: 5 g — Vegetable oil: 10 g 🔹 Filling: — Ground meat: 150 g — Chopped bell pepper: 20 g — Salt, pepper, ground coriander seeds: to taste 🔹 Topping: — Water, sesame seeds, grape molasses, pizza cheese 🔹 Method: Mix all dough ingredients except the oil. Once combined, add the oil and knead until the dough is soft and smooth. Let it rest. Turn out onto your work surface, divide into 4 portions and shape into balls. Rest again. Mix the filling ingredients together. Roll each portion into an oval shape, add cheese to the center as shown, fold and seal the edges, then allow a short rest. Flip the dough, brush the unsealed side with grape molasses and coat with sesame seeds. After the final proof, score and fill with the meat mixture as shown in the video. Transfer to the oven and bake until deeply golden.
