Preparing the Wooden House for Winter: Natural Insulation and New Materials

As I prepare the wooden house I built by the stream in my field for winter, I'm beginning a natural improvement process that strengthens thermal and sound insulation. My goal is to make the house warmer, quieter, more durable, and more livable. As a first step, I'm applying a natural mortar made from soil, straw, and lime between the paneling on the interior walls. Then, I process stones I collect from nature to create my own natural mineral stone wool. This way, I'm creating an insulation layer entirely free of chemicals and made with materials naturally available. I also collected flat marble stones that had fallen down from a hill in the nearby forest over time. I plan to use these marble pieces in various parts of the house, both inside and out, to increase durability and add a natural touch. I'll share how this small wooden house by the stream is being prepared for winter in the following video, with adjustments made to various areas, from the windows to the chimney.
