Beautiful Juneau Alaska: Cruise Port, Mendenhall Glacier Excursion and Scenic Tracy Arm Fjord

The Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas stops in Port Juneau Alaska. We visit Downtown, the amazing Red Dog Saloon, and catch an excursion shuttle ride where we hike to the Nugget Falls, Mendenhall Lake, and Mendenhall Glacier. The hike to Nugget Falls is crowded and about 2 miles round trip, but worth the effort. The lake created by the melting Mendenhall Glacier is scenic and beautiful. We take the less beaten path near the lake on the return to Picture Point which offers multiple panoramic picture opportunities. After the Port stop, the Inside Passage cruise takes us to the amazing Tracy Arm Fjord, where the scenery is astonishing, and glacier ice is an amazing blue color. The cruise boat travels up the narrow incredibly scenic fjord while brilliant blue ice passes by the ship. At the end of the fjord the boat stops to view Sawyer Glacier and Sawyer Island. The boat does and amazing 180 degree turn in a narrow corridor to return. We set our GoPro 11 on the balcony using a Time Lapse to capture the amazing footage. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this incredible area of Alaska.
