[BERITA] Cegah Radikalisme Melaui Penguatan Ekonomi, BNPT & PLN Luncurkan Workshop Paving Blok

The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and PT. PLN Indonesia Power held a kick-off workshop on paving block making as part of the implementation of the Desa Siapsiaga program, which integrates strengthening community resilience against the threat of radical terrorism with local economic empowerment, in Banten, Thursday (April 23, 2026). The Head of BNPT, Commissioner General of Police (Ret.) Eddy Hartono, S.I.K., M.H., stated that this program focuses not only on preventing radicalism but also on building community economic independence through productive, locally-based activities. Furthermore, this activity is a follow-up to the launch of the Desa Siapsiaga program in December 2025, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemendesa PDT), and is part of the implementation of government programs in the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). Wisnu Kurniawan, Senior Manager of PLN Indonesia Power's Power Generation Business Unit (UBP) for the Banten 2 Coal-Fired Power Plant (PLTU), expressed his full support for this program as part of its commitment to community empowerment. The workshop, managed by the Menes Manis Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), utilizes fly ash and bottom ash (FABA), a coal combustion waste product from the PLN-owned coal-fired power plant at Labuan Port.
