We Drove Around Kuching Without A Plan | VLOG 32

No plan. No experience driving on the left. Just a rental car and Kuching wide open in front of us. Day 1 we drove to Semmengoh Wildlife Centre, Mila has dreamed of seeing an orangutan in the wild for as long as I can remember. What happened there, you'll have to watch. On the way back we stopped at Rainforest Garden Restaurant for lunch and made the mistake of buying a Black Thorn Durian. Pretty sure we paid tourist price. Worth it? Debatable. Day 2 we took on Kubah National Park and hiked all the way up to the Mount Serapi summit at 2,600 feet. We had no idea what we were getting into. The trail is steep, long, and humbling. We made it to the top and it was absolutely worth every step. Day 3 we headed to Fairy Cave, an enormous cave hidden inside a limestone cliff, then stumbled into the Rock Maze Garden next door. We skipped the Siniawan Night Market and ended up exactly where we wanted to be: Roots & Seeds, our favourite restaurant in Kuching. A family-run place that always makes us feel genuinely welcome, with some of the best healthy food we've had in Southeast Asia. We closed the trip at Pernai Rainforest where the mountains meet the sea, and watched the sunset at Damai Central surrounded by locals doing the exact same thing. One of those moments that reminds you why you do this. One goal remains: sustain this nomad life through our own remote income. Mila is growing her food and beverage illustration service.
