Rocky Road to Dublin (Traditional Irish Ballad) - Sam Shackleton

Singing an old Irish ballad called the “Rocky Road to Dublin” by the fireplace at my mother’s house on the Isle of Harris, Scotland. This is a great wee Irish tune written by poet D.K. Gavan in the 1800’s. I first heard Luke Kelly’s version with the Dubliners and have loved this song ever since. It’s a proper tongue twister of a song and singing it is always a good workout for the lungs, let me know if you’d like me to post some more verses!
