Hey folks, hope you enjoy this wee video of me playing the traditional Scottish folk ballad "Tramps and Hawkers" on the guitar in beautiful North Queensferry, Scotland, by the Forth Rail Bridge. This is the very same bridge mentioned in this song - "I've helped tae build the michty brig that spans across the Forth". I'm also playing the song slightly differently here to the previous versions I've released on the banjo - this version is a lot more similar to the traditional way this song is played. The great thing about playing folk music is that even the same songs evolve and transform as you play them throughout your life - I can truly never get bored of singing these ancient ballads!
