The development of logistics infrastructure in Luvo, on the border between Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), represents a strategic opportunity to boost formal trade, attract investment in logistics and support services, and strengthen regional economic integration. This argument was made by Eugénio Fernandes, director of the National Directorate for the Economics of Concessions, during his intervention at the II Expansão Transport and Logistics Forum, dedicated to the theme "Logistics and Development Corridors". According to the official, Luvo plays a strategic role as one of the main land connections between Angola and the DRC, functioning as a privileged corridor for the flow of goods and for boosting trade in the region. In this context, he considered that the creation of a modern cross-border post could significantly increase the efficiency of logistics flows, reducing transit times, simplifying customs procedures, and strengthening the security of commercial operations.
