Travel to Nairobi, Kenya in 2026 and experience the city through the people who call it home. I let complete strangers decide my day by helping me complete 10 challenges—from riding a Kenyan party bus (matatu) to learning Swahili, trying local food, and getting invited into someone's home. Nairobi surprised me in ways I never expected. Along the way I met incredible locals, explored both the modern and traditional sides of Kenya's capital, bargained in busy markets, danced with strangers, faced an unexpected run-in with security, and discovered why talking to strangers leads to the best travel experiences.
