Which is related to Mirza Ghalib's family. When we found out the history of Mirza Ghalib's father, we came to know that his family had a connection with Alwar. His family lived in Machadi. Ghalib's grandfather Mirza Kokan Beg came from Samarkand and started working for Emperor Mohammad Shah. Later he started working as a servant for Muinul Mulk of Lahore. He had two sons, Mirza Ghalib's father Abdullah Beg Khan and uncle Nasrullah. Abdullah Beg Khan joined the army of Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula of Lucknow (Awadh). And then via Hyderabad, he joined Raja Bakhtawar Singh of Alwar. Once in the battle of Gadhi in Alwar, Abdullah Beg Khan was killed in 1802 during the reign of Raja Bakhtawar Singh. Maharaja Bakhtawar Singh gave pension to Mirza Ghalib's family during his reign. And gave a jagir in Talda near Govindgarh. This family's friendly behavior with the royal family of Alwar continued till 1862. And if we talk about Mirza Ghalib, then at the age of just 13, he was married to Umrao Begum, daughter of Mirza Ilahi Bakhsh Khan, younger brother of Nawab Ahmed Bakhsh Khan of Loharu, on 9 August 1810 AD.
