In today's episode we're diving into a distinctly lowercase album experience from two stalwharts of the genre. Undefined by Richard Chartier and Yann Novak, released on Fabio Perletta's 901 Editions. When not making their own music, Chartier and Novak both offer outlets for some of the most amazing experimental music under their own digital labels Line Imprint and Dragon's Eye Recordings. Here, joining their forces with a rather unusual approach to composition, we're greeted with a rather challenging yet gorgeous minimalist experience of tiny minute hazy drones offset by this growing textural palette of tiny electronic murmurations. Within the entirety of the lowercase genre (at least from what I've scratched upon), this has always been one of my favourite records. A collaborative effort from two of my favourite musicians from the scene, dragging us through this tiny monochromatic world of minature electronic details.
