DEMO 18: For My Own Survival【Your Turn To Die - Death Game by Musical】

I only lay claim to the music and lyrics made specifically for this project. I decided to do some funky time signatures including overlapping ones at the end. It was really cool but also a struggle. The song is mostly in 7/4, but switches to 4/4 sometimes. At the end, the key signature of the music and Joe, Reko and Kanna's singing is predominantly 7/4, but Sara sings in bars of 4/4, thus putting everything out of sync for her. The last beat of her couple of bars is also taken up by her gasping breath and I think it gives the effect that she can't keep up. The drums also utilize a 4:3 polyrhythm I believe.
