Press “Menu,” go to “Manage Favorites Lists.” Select “Create New Favorites List,” name it “Chinese Peak.” 3:44 Step 2: Add P25 System Select your new list, press “Review/Edit System.” Choose “New System,” then “Trunked System,” then “P25 Standard (Phase 1).” Name it “ICAWIN Chinese Peak.” 4:23 System Options Set “ID Search” ON if you want to catch all activity but i recommend leaving this OFF if you only want to hear the talk groups you programmed. Otherwise it'll pick up all talk groups on the system, like businesses, construction, etc. I recommend leaving ID Search OFF. 4:58 Step 3: Add Site & Frequencies Go to “Edit Site,” choose “New Site,” name it “Chinese Peak.” 5:16 Enter each frequency by clicking edit frequencies in the new site: 769.08125 769.86875 770.33125 771.03125 771.48125 771.85625 772.26875 772.71875 773.58125 (c) the frequencies with a c are the control channels. Just ignore the c, you cannot input that. 774.13125 774.18125 (c) 774.88125 (c) 775.48125 (c) 6:44 Step 4: Add Departments and Talkgroups Go to “Edit Department,” create “New Department” (e.g. “Pocatello PD/FD”). “Edit Channel,” then “New Channel,” enter each talkgroup ID you want (3100 for Pocatello PD Dispatch, 3200 for Pocatello Fire Dispatch, others as needed). 8:00 Step 5: Set service types. 8:23 Step 5: Start Scanning! Make sure “Chinese Peak” favorites list is enabled and if you only want to hear that then turn off all other lists by going to "Set Scan Selection" then go to "Select Lists to Monitor" make sure all your lists are off except the new one or the one you want to listen to, turn it on. Now go back to the main menu and go to "Select Service Types" you should see only the service types you just programmed into the new favorites list and make sure they are turned on or you will get a nothing to scan message. Back out of the menu and start scanning! Cheers, Boy and a Scanner
