Nakami Maruta, a first-year high school student, suffers from insomnia. One day, at the school's unused observatory, Maruta coincidentally meets classmate Isaki Kyoku, who shares the same problem. Though they barely talk at class, they bond over their secret insomnia, which they've never shared with anyone, and gradually become closer. When it's discovered that the two have been using the observatory without permission, the facility is in danger of being closed to the public.
