La prestigiosa lista de "The World’s 50 Best Restaurants" ubicó al restaurante peruano Central como el mejor restaurante del mundo. Central, liderado por Virgilio Martinez y Pía Léon, ha estado ofreciendo alta cocina con ingredientes y técnicas peruanas durante 15 años y se lleva a los comensales a través de 15 ecosistemas peruanos diferentes, clasificados por altitud, desde 15 metros bajo el Océano Pacífico hasta 4.200 metros en los Andes. La capital de Lima es indudablemente una capital gastronómica que ha ganado más lugares entre los 50 mejores que cualquier otra ciudad del mundo.
