Medan, our first destination in North Sumatra | Medan (Indonesia Ep 1)

Medan is a short plane ride from Kuala Lumpur, and was our first destination on our exploration of North Sumatra, Indonesia. It doesn't get a lot of tourists but we enjoyed a few days here exploring on foot. We particularly enjoyed getting our first taste of Indonesian food in this city renowned for its excellent street food, warungs and restaurants. We also visited Fie Mansion, Istana Maimun and the Grand Mosque. Indonesians are amazingly friendly and immediately made us welcome in this new country.
