Sam provides his 'The LEGO Batman Movie' review, probably the only mildly negative one online. Our story finds Batman at the height of his game but not all is as great as it seems. When home at Wayne Manor on a secluded island, he begins his daily routine of eating microwave lobster thermidors, watching 'Jerry Maguire' by himself and of course, reminiscing about his dead parents. It also turns out that his insisted loneliness has caused the Joker to spiral into a dangerous existential crisis which might just result in ultimate destruction of Gotham city as we know it. Fortunately, in a moment of not really paying attention, Bruce Wayne accidentally adopts orphan Dick Grayson as his adopted son. And when Alfred lets him into the Bat-cave, as he so often does, he insists on helping the caped crusader take his enemies down as Robin. Starring Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes, Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Billy Dee Williams. Directed by Chris McKay. Can it surpass the LEGO Movie without Emmet, Wyldstyle, Vitruvius, Lord Business and most importantly Phil Lord and Chris Miller? How does this shape up with the rest of Warner Brothers' DC movies? Does the Bat-family work onscreen? Can Robin and Batgirl become household names in the blockbuster world? Action, animation, comedy.
