What was supposed to be a straightforward one-hour ride to wrap up the day instantly turned into a blind navigation challenge. After rolling off the ferry into Morocco, I thought I was fully prepared for Day 1. I grabbed a local SIM card at the border and hit the highway, looking forward to getting some rest. But the adventure started early. The data completely cut out, leaving me riding blind without a GPS signal. One missed highway exit turned into a grueling 40-kilometer detour over broken dirt roads as the daylight faded. With no internet, no navigation, and total exhaustion setting in after a massive day of border crossings and riding, I was forced to make a major decision in the pitch dark.
