Freedom of Being Yourself @Jeffsvibes

Growing up, I struggled with a lot of insecurity. I didn’t believe in myself, and much of that came from being made fun of when I was younger. Those experiences followed me into adulthood and affected the way I saw myself. For years, I felt like I needed approval from others to feel accepted. I often put on a version of myself around people I wasn’t comfortable with, trying to fit in and earn their acceptance. The problem was, the more I tried to be what others wanted, the more I lost sight of who I really was. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned something valuable: I don’t need everyone’s approval to have worth. I don’t need a pat on the back to validate who I am. I’ve become comfortable with being myself—flaws, strengths, and all. Today, the real me is simply who I am. I no longer feel the need to explain myself or act a certain way to please others. That freedom has brought so much peace, happiness, and confidence into my life. If you’ve ever struggled with insecurity or felt like you had to be someone else to fit in, I hope this message encourages you. The greatest freedom you’ll ever experience is being comfortable in your own skin and embracing the person God created you to be. Here is a link to my blog.
