#5 Ponidzie - Świętokrzyskie - pieszo - Pińczów - Busko Zdrój

Ponidzie, Świętokrzyskie, and the last two days of hiking ahead of us :) Ponidzie, day 5 Distance - 20km Distance from the start of the trail - 113km After a quiet night in the reeds and a quick breakfast, I hiked to Pińczów. I spent a lot of time in this incredibly interesting town. Although small, Pińczów offers many interesting places. The most interesting point is St. Anne's Chapel, which is located on a hill from which you can clearly see all of Pińczów and the surrounding area. Other attractions include the Pauline Monastery Complex, the Old Synagogue, the Wielopolski Palace and garden tower, and the castle hill with the remains of the Oleśnicki Castle. Of course, while in town, I took the opportunity to do some shopping, which allowed me to prepare dinner that evening. The weather was very changeable today, from a strong wind in the morning, through the heat in Pińczów, to another wind in the Pińczowskie Mountains, and clouds and light rain over Nida. The route to the camp surprised me with a hike through the Pińczowski Garb and the Pińczowskie Mountains. It was a wonderful hike, and I could feel the mountain atmosphere because the climbs were really steep. Next was the Skowronno Nature Reserve and the hike towards Nida. Finally, I reached the place where I wanted to spend the night. Near the old bridge, I found a small beach where I set up my tent and prepared a delicious dinner. Now I'm sitting by a small campfire, resting for another day of hiking. Ponidzie Day 6 Distance - 29km Distance from the start of the trail - 142km Today I concluded my adventure and my visit to Ponidzie, and you know what? I'll miss this magical, fairytale land. I experienced wonderful moments here, felt the most beautiful things about travel, met wonderful people, cleared my mind, and fell even more in love with life. Ponidzie is one of the most beautiful and welcoming places in Poland. I will be returning. I started my last day early with coffee and breakfast, and after packing my backpack, I reluctantly moved on. 🙂 I used the narrow-gauge railway tracks as a trail, which unfortunately is currently closed. It's possible that next year they will repair the dilapidated bridges, making it possible to travel from Pińczów to Jędrzejów by train. I enjoyed the hike along the old bridges and tracks, and I completed the almost 30km stretch quite easily. There was nothing particularly interesting along the way, so I delved deep into myself, and only a pine tree on stilts pulled me out of this state. It's amazing what nature can conjure up. I finished my hike in Busko-Zdrój. I didn't have much time to explore the entire city, but I managed to see a few places, including Zdrojowy Park. It's time to say goodbye to the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship and Ponidzie. Thank you so much for another hike with me and for your support, which gives me the strength to continue on my journey.
