#1 Ponidzie - Świętokrzyskie - pieszo - Działoszyce - Stradów

I invite you to Ponidzie, where I had an incredible off-trail hike. The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship has once again revealed its secrets and unique places to me. Ponidzie is a magical land, full of mysterious places hidden off the trail. In this series of videos from Ponidzie, I want to share with you my experiences from this very pleasant and relaxing hike. Hiking through Ponidzie - Day 1 Daily distance - 15km Total distance - 15km I've been planning a trip to the land called Ponidzie for a long time. I finally strapped on my backpack and hit the road. I planned the hike off-trail. I plan to spend all my nights camping and do some camping. Therefore, my backpack contains a lot of sleeping and cooking equipment. The load is heavy, but I think it will be worth the extra weight. I won't be rushing or covering long distances on this hike. I want to focus on the road, the places I pass, and film some more, but to achieve this, I won't walk more than 25 km per day. Today is the first day of the trip. For logistical reasons, I began my hike in Działoszyce. This small town is located right on the border with the Małopolska Voivodeship. While filming a short introduction to the film, I was spotted by a local woman, Ms. Kinga, and learned a lot of interesting facts about Działoszyce. One of them particularly surprised me. Armed with information, I stayed in town for about four hours to take a few photos and listen to even more stories about the town's history. I started hiking the first kilometers well into the afternoon, so I knew I wouldn't get far today. Passing beautiful places, admiring the magnificent landscapes, and wandering through karst gorges, I reached the village of Stradów, a place known for centuries. I pitched my tent at the largest Grodzisk settlement in Poland, replenished my water supply at a nearby spring, and am resting, watching the sun set, covered by rather dark clouds. It's only the first day, and Ponidzie has already made an incredible impression on me :) Tomorrow I'm taking you for a short visit to Grodzisk Stradów and to continue my hike.
