But I think I need to add this recipe into my collection since it uses more affordable ingredients and its lowest percentage on being too tough or overly hard in texture. Its filling mixture is really soft but also very crunchy on the outside. So, I think it’s really a must to try this … I got the source of the recipe in the CookPad, under the Bunda Fidela CookPad page to be exact … Well, she so kind to share the secret of how to get the tofu remain soft inside and crispy outside, that is by using the Chayote. Well, even though it’s made with cheap ingredients and without the additional meat, I’m confident that the result will be great … So, thank you very much Bunda Fidela, thanks a million for your precious tips, may God blees you with His greatest gift, Amen. Ok, here is the ingredients of the recipe, good luck and happy cooking …! Ingredients 30 pieces of Unstuffed Tofu (Puff Tofu) medium size; 1 medium size Carrot, it weighs about 100 gr after being grated; 1 medium sized Chayote, grated/sliced into matchsticks. It weighs about 150 gr after being grated; 140 gr or about 2 handfuls of Bean Sprouts; 200 gr or 13 ½ tbsp Pastry flour; 30 gr or about 2 Scallions, thinly sliced; 200 gr or 13 ½ tbsp Cassava Starch; 30 gr or 2 tbsp Cornstarch (optional, just to make it softer); 1 large egg, optional. If you skip it out, then please add more water up to 60 ml; 5 cloves of Garlic, grated or puree; 1 ½ tsp Salt, to taste; 1 ½ tsp Broth Powder, ^^ for the salt and the powdered broth, please adjust them according to taste. It’s just better to make it a little bit salty, because later when it’s fried, the saltiness level will be reduced a lot; 1 tsp Granulated Sugar; ½ tsp Pepper Powder; 150-180 ml Water, to taste. Additional Ingredients (soy sauce) 20 Cayenne Pepper, puree or finely chopped; 2 cloves of Garlic, puree or finely chopped; 80 to 100 ml of sweet soy sauce, to taste; 1 tbsp fried Shallot; ½ tsp Lemon Juice, optional (skipped in the video).
