Sheriff Mickey Stines was Paranoid Before Judge Killing: Aunt

Former Sheriff Shawn Stines appeared in court Friday as attorneys argued several motions, including whether he should be granted bond while awaiting trial. Stines is accused of fatally shooting Circuit Judge Kevin Mullins inside the judge's chambers in September 2024. During the hearing, Stines' aunt testified that in the days leading up to the shooting, her nephew appeared paranoid, couldn't sleep, and repeatedly expressed fears that someone was going to harm his wife and child.
