Volvo 850 Restoration - Engine Mounts And Throttle Cable

The gas peddle on our Volvo 850 feels heavy and stiff and so we figured replacing the throttle cable might help. We also noticed a knocking sound coming from the engine when shifting gears so we replaced the upper and lower engine mounts to fix that problem. Then there was the problem of the leaking exhaust again, possibly caused by lifting the engine when we replaced the rear main seal, and there was a sound coming from the rear right suspension which turned out to be caused by a faulty installation on our part. The Volvo has a big emotional value for us and seeing the car sitting still for so many years and watching nature taking over broke our hearts. After nine years, and sitting outside for 7 of those 9 years, we finally got our hands on the 850 and brought it back to its home where we will restore it to its former glory. Once we finish the restoration, we intend to make a road trip and keep in the family for many more years to come.
