We took the Uetliberg train(S10) from Zurich HB. Ticket fare is included in the Zurch City Card (27 CHF for 1 day). A short walk from the top station to the Restaurant Uto Kulm is rewarded by spectacular views. Uetliberg (elevation 870m) offers panaromic view of the entire city of Zurich and the Lake of Zurich, "if the weather is good". We went there on a snowy night ! But we were in for a surprise when we reached the top. The top area revealed itself with beautiful Christmas decorations. There were 2 food stalls below the Observation Tower. We took some refreshments from one of the stalls. Previously, we walked up the top from the train station. We walked on some parts of the Planet Trail. The Planet Trail leads from the Uetliberg to Felsenegg. It shows the enormous distances in the solar system, with each meter of the path representing 1 million kilometers. The Christmas decorations suddenly began appearing during our hike and we got curious if there would be more decorations above.
