At one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Alps, there are many hikes to explore the natural surroundings, the mountains, and the lake itself. I call our moderately difficult hike the Waterfall Loop, because you can constantly hear the roaring water cascading down the rocks along the entire route. The lake and its surrounding mountains are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for good reason. Hiking here is incredibly appealing, but see for yourself! From the parking lot at the valley station, a rewarding path leads up to the lake, along its shores to Unterbärgli, then Oberbärgli, and from the highest point, via the Instagrammable Heuberg viewpoint, back down again.
