For Those Who Feel Like Giving Up | Worship With Me | I Don't Have Much

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:3-10 If we're honest, there are times in life when we simply feel crushed and overwhelmed by the weight of suffering within and around us. It doesn't seem to matter how long I have walked with the Lord, when things get hard, I so quickly and easily forget that I can rest in the knowledge that God is for me and that I don't have to have all the answers. I often feel like I don't have much to offer- like the only thing left is my heart. I've been reminded a lot of the widow who brought her mite. She didn't have much, but what she had she brought to the Lord as one final offering of worship. In that broken moment, she chose to make a firm statement- that she had put all of her Hope and her trust in God alone. That despite the brook drying up, and it seeming like she may not have enough- Jesus was still worthy to receive every single part of herself, even down to the last drop. Over the last few weeks, I have found myself feeling tempted to give up. But the Lord led me to read through 2 Corinthians. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't moved past chapter 1:1-10. Sometimes, we need to take our time and let God’s word soak in deep into our souls until the words are no longer just words on a page.
