J'irai dormir chez vous | Cambodge [Épisode complet]

"I'm spleeping over tonight - Cambodia" / Still equipped with his tiny cameras, Antoine de Maximy travels to Cambodia. Some thirty years ago, a terrible civil war tore the country apart, during which almost a quarter of Cambodians lost their lives. Today, although the war criminals have never been brought to justice, peace has returned. But what is it like in a country where there are still several million anti-personnel mines lying around? Antoine starts by visiting the temples of Angkor. A quick look around tells him that this is not the best place to meet the locals. He heads for the lakeside, where people live in small boats and houses on stilts. One family is in mourning. He is surprised to be invited to the funeral and spends the night on the boat. Then he heads for Battambang, one of the country's largest cities, where he meets a team of deminers. There, he tastes a local drink at the bottom of which lies a quarantine of tarantulas. But he finds hospitality in a monastery, where he spends the evening with young monks with Internet connections. His journey ends in Ban Lung, close to the borders of Laos and Vietnam. It's a confusing little town. It's the rainy season and the unpaved streets are overrun with mud. It looks like a mining town from the late 18th century. Antoine decides to rent a motorcycle to reach more remote areas. In a hamlet, he comes face to face with Tong, an old man with a luminous smile. No communication is possible, and it's through music that Antoine establishes contact before being accepted by the community. #documentary #JDCV #travel #imsleepingovertonight A documentary by Antoine DE MAXIMY First broadcast : 2006 🟢 Subscribe to I'm sleeping over tonight    / @jiraidormirchezvous_officielle   🟢 Produced by Bonne Pioche 🟢 Welcome to I'm sleeping over tonight, THE channel of our national globetrotter, Antoine de Maximy, with his red shirt, backpack, three cameras and legendary nerve!
