iM M3+ - Smartphone Android 4.3 pas cher pourri ! - Faux Xiaomi Mi3

But is it worth it?! Well no! Not at all! In fact, for less money, you can find phones running Android 2.3, but they work much better and have 3G! (And Lenovo ones at that, so the quality must be superior.) This is surely one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had, and yet I wasn't expecting anything from it ^^ To be honest, given the price and the mention of Android 4.3, I thought it would just be a big myth. And that would have been better... Let me briefly explain the problem: Android 4.3 requires about 512 MB of RAM to run comfortably, but the phone only has 256 MB (not to mention the GPU taking up some of it). The phone is therefore completely unsuitable for Android 4.3; it took some trickery to get it to run on it. So the developers at Spreadtrum used zRam to compress the RAM, which adds a bit of breathing room. Still, it's not enough to compensate for having nearly half as much RAM as would be reasonable. With zRam, Android 4.3 boots, but as soon as a program is opened, it runs out of RAM. They tried to work around the problem by allowing Android to unload (close) parts of the system that shouldn't be able to! Like the phone manager, the keyboard, the status bar (or notification bar), etc. Important things for the system! And to top it all off, three default apps fight for the little available RAM in the background (useless stuff like an alternative battery percentage indicator, an alternative market, an antivirus). The result: A phone that lags enormously. A phone that's completely unusable for multitasking. Not surprising, since it's already barely able to single-task. The inability to receive an email, or even a call/text message, while using an app that's too RAM-intensive. A phone that's way too expensive, when, apart from the included version of Android, it's no better than the old single-core Spreadtrums running 2.3. Battery life issues due to the epic battle between apps in the background for RAM, even when the phone is in standby mode! Achieving the feat of making you miss Android 2.3... Actual specifications: CPU: Spreadtrum SC6825 RAM: 256MB, 32MB of which are dedicated to the GPU. - ROM: 512 MB, only 180 MB are available for installing apps Screen: 4.2" with a decent field of view Battery: between 900 and 1500 mAh No GPS, contrary to what you might read here and there. Android version: 4.0.3 (with a few backports from 4.1/4.3) This phone is a real mess, like all phones based on the Spreadtrum processor, to be honest. The CPU is decent, but as usual, the firmware (the ROM, or Android and its drivers) is completely subpar. The only effort the manufacturer seems to have made is modifying Android to lie to the user about all the phone's specifications: RAM, number of cores, storage space, processor brand, everything! I would have preferred the company to focus instead on eliminating bugs. which completely compromise the user experience on all Spreadtrum phones, whether they're running Android 2.2, 2.3, or 4.3. (Or simply upgrade to Firefox OS, that would help a lot!) PS: It appears this is a counterfeit Xiaomi phone.
