Monte Pena - Da Zoppè di Cadore (BL), al cospetto del Pelmo

ROUTE DESCRIPTION From Zoppè di Cadore, climb trail 471 to the Rutorto Pass. From here, continue for a short distance along the marked CAI trail, then turn right along a narrow trail that descends slightly (unmarked) toward a small lake. Head toward the forest ahead and, at the first trees, turn left (cairn), where the red and white markings reappear. From here on, the climb is well marked. The summit is reached after a steep climb and a short traverse. The view is magnificent. The descent is via the ascent route, with a detour via the Venezia refuge service road.
