Pippa Funnell webinar: Maintaining your horse's fitness over summer 2020
Signup for our email newsletters to be the first to hear about the next guest webinar - https://bit.ly/2AOgjfE We’re very excited to announce that we’re launching “Welfare Wednesdays”: a series of conversational webinars aimed at covering a range of relevant topics that will run throughout the year. Whether you are a professional rider, a competitive amateur, a happy hacker, a dedicated carer of a non-ridden horse or anyone who just loves horses, we want you all to be part of it. Throughout the series we will have speakers from within World Horse Welfare as well as expert support from friends of the charity, sharing their knowledge on key topics. Towards the end of each session we promise to give you a chance to ask the experts some questions live. Our first conversation – “Maintaining your horse’s fitness over summer 2020” – took place on Wednesday 17th June. We were delighted that we have world class eventer and World Horse Welfare Patron Pippa Funnell MBE speaking alongside our very own Adam Cummins, Centre Manager at Penny Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre. Both Pippa and Adam have a wealth of equine knowledge, having spent their lives working in the horse world. Hosted by Roly Owers, Pippa and Adam were live for around an hour to provide advice and guidance on everything from bringing a horse back in to work, assessing the fitness of your horse and creating a fitness plan, as well as how to taper a horse’s workload should you need to reduce their level of work. Regardless of whether your horse is a finely-tuned athlete, a happy hacker, a youngster or a much-loved non-ridden companion who needs to shed a few pounds, we are confident there will be something here for you. If you are keen to be part of the next webinar conversation then please join our mailing list by signing up here: https://bit.ly/2AOgjfE The webinars will all be available to watch back on our website afterwards, so don’t worry if it turns out you can’t make the next one – you’ll still be able to benefit from advice.
