Lilliputters Summer Tour 2024 - Day 7

For some reason I decided to wake up a rather ungodly hour on Sunday with very little time to spare for ringing at York Minster, hence the previous clips of bells in Day 3's video and a slight rush for the bus. The runners greeted Simon and me as we made tracks for the Oratory, virtually straight after the Minster - it was nice just to listen for once to half a course of Cambridge. The York Minster on Sunday morning pre service; quiet, peaceful, some reflection and a chance to take in the outstanding interior. After ringing, it was time clear up at the Snowball and a bid farewell for this year. A swift half in the pub for Sunday lunchtime, Alex B again being the bank of knowledge on the history and beers! After a fair bit of practice at forwards / backwards / Queens this week, Rachel took an adventurous decision to change at backstroke, the results feature! A second to last touch of tour; an immediate start at backstroke for Grandsire Triples - which was rather interesting! The last touch was a very respectable 3 leads of Bristol, which just about finished us all off, before sampling another pub and making tracks home for the evening! A great tour this year!
