1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible Front End Refresh, Replacing the Bumper, Grill and Headlight Bezels
Refreshing the front end of the barn find 442 with new chrome and plastic. The difference is unbelievable. All parts to the front end were purchased from, but not sponsored by https://www.fusickautomotiveproducts.... In EP1 I got this old 442 running again, and running very well. In EP2 I make it stop, and look as good as possible for a recuring driving restoration project we can all do together on the channel. I found a SOLID 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible that's been in a barn for 40 years. Will it still be able to run? This is a very special occasion that fell into my lap and I pulled the trigger without hesitation. Did I pay too much? Probably. Is it going to be worth it? YES. This car can possibly be for sale once cleaned up and running / driving to the right buyer only as decided by me. The ONLY party at this time I am willing to sell this to is someone who has the means to immediately do a frame of restoration on it back to factory original. Extra care is being taken to not damage parts while reviving. If interested in this car or know someone who is, please share this video series and reach out in the comments while I figure out a way of contacting me without signing myself up for spam-blasting. You can also reach out on Instagram where I can then private message you back. Owner history is 2 + me. The lady I bought it from bought it in 1971 and drove it as a wine distributor until 1987 when it was parked due to the convertible top needing replaced. She absolutely loved this car, and to this day goes by "442 girl". In the late 70's or possibly early 80's she had the engine rebuilt and is currently .030 over as confirmed in the EP1 video. She later replaced this car with a brand new 442 in 1987, which to her was a massive disappointment in comparison to this 1968. The car was parked with the dream of one day restoring this car. 40 years later, they are moving and the car must go. Then after a chain of contacts, I received a call.... "I have a "68 442 convertible I parked in 1987". me "say no more, I'm on my way". #oldsmobile #oldsmobile442 #barnfind
