At Banbury there is GWR interchange, at Leamington there is WMR and Cross Country interchange, at Birmingham there is Snow Hill line interchange with New Street being an out of station interchange from Moor Street, at Snow Hill there is West Midlands Metro tram interchange from St Chads and Bull Street. The rolling stock on this route is currently a mix between locomotive hauled class 68 with Mark 3 carriages and class 168 Clubman (Turbostar) trains. The loco hauled sets operate with 6 passenger carriages with the class 168 being 2, 3 and 4 carriage units which often operate in multiple to for 5, 6, 7 and 8 carriage trains between London and Birmingham. Class 165 Networker Turbo trains are used on local Chiltern services. This route is entirely unelectrified with diesel rolling stock used on this route.
