Nits - Memory Tapes #41 - Whales of Tadoussac

"July 1996 we played at the Festival d’été of Quebec city in Canada. Since 1989 we played there many times and in 1993 we were taken for a trip North into the wild nature by our friend Daniël who we met in the Atomic Café. He took us to Tadoussac, a small town along the river to look at the whales. On the album dAdAdA we recorded a song called Whales of Tadoussac. In this video Daniël takes us again into the nature of Canada and there’s a glimpse of Jean, the director of the festival, who invited us many years in a row and the view from my hotel room on the old city and the St. Lawrence river. That summer a Dutch newspaper (NRC) asked me to make and send a postcard from a place where I stayed in the summertime…Going up the country…where the water tastes like wine"
