Revival of the ballet "Yaroslavna. Eclipse"

Nine years ago, in 2017, the Mariinsky Theatre stage became the venue for the premiere of the ballet to the music of Boris Tishchenko, "Yaroslavna. Eclipse". At that time, choreographer Vladimir Varnava combined the composer's complex multilayered score, contemporary dance guided by the principles of classical choreography, contrasting images, and conducted special work with the text of the monument of Old Russian literature — "The Tale of Igor's Campaign". Today, in 2026, the production returns to the stage renewed: a natural creative step and a reinterpretation of the ballet master's professional experience. The continuous rehearsal and staging process in July will showcase the team's work to the audience and present a new edition of the performance for public scrutiny.
