The Resurrection (Matthew 28:1-10) — We contemplate the glorious Resurrection of our Lord on the third day. The angel proclaimed: 'He is not here; He is risen!' Christ conquered death and sin, giving us the hope of eternal life. 2. The Ascension (Acts 1:6-11) — We contemplate the Ascension of our Lord into heaven forty days after His Resurrection. He ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes for us and prepares a place for all who believe. 3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-13) — We contemplate the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary at Pentecost. Tongues of fire rested upon each of them, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit, proclaiming the Gospel with boldness. 4. The Assumption (Revelation 12:1) — We contemplate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, body and soul, into heavenly glory. Having completed her earthly life, she was taken up to be with her Son, a sign of hope for all the faithful. 5. The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Revelation 12:1-6) — We contemplate the coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.
