1940 Kriesler Beehive Radio Restoration

Restoration of a 1940 Kriesler “Beehive” valve radio. In this video I take an original Australian classic and bring it back to life after decades of age and wear. The restoration includes inspecting the chassis, testing the valves, replacing aged capacitors and resistors, and carefully bringing the radio up on power to hear it play again. The Kriesler Beehive is a great example of early Australian radio design, using classic valves like the ECH35, 6B8, 6V6GT and 6X5. This project focuses on preserving the original components where possible while restoring the electronics so the set can safely operate again.
