Cooking dinner for Iftar in a Turkish village
Friends, hello! How are you doing? Today I cook traditional Turkish dishes for Iftar. Cheshmi Nigar Chorbasy Ingredients: 1 medium onion 1 tbsp flour 1 cup red lentils 1 l hot water 1 tsp salt soup dressing: 1 egg yolk 1/2 cup milk juice of half a lemon spiced butter: 2 tbsp butter 2 tsp dried mint 1/2 tsp red pepper Cooking steps: 1. Fry the onion in vegetable oil until transparent. 2. Add flour and fry a little. 3. Add a glass of washed lentils, water and salt. Cook over low heat for 25-30 minutes. 4. For dressing, mix egg yolk, milk and lemon juice. 5. Punch the soup with a blender. Add dressing in a thin stream (item 4). 6. Simmer the soup for another 5 minutes. 7. Serve soup with spiced butter. Melt butter in a saucepan, add mint and red pepper. Roast the spices for 20-30 seconds. ------------- Inegol Köfte Ingredients: 500 g ground beef 1 medium onion salt black pepper 1 dessert spoon of soda lemon juice (for quick preparation) Cooking steps: 1. Grate the onion on a fine grater and add to the minced meat. 2. Add salt, black pepper and soda. Mix everything thoroughly (about 10 minutes). 3. Important! If you have time, then it is better to leave the minced meat ready for the night. If time is running out, add the juice of a lemon wedge to the soda. Mix the minced meat well (about 10-15 minutes). And leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours. 4. Form cutlets and fry in vegetable oil. ------------- Tembel Gelin Tatlysy (dessert of a lazy bride) Ingredients: 1.5 tbsp flour (20 g) 1.5 tbsp cornstarch (15 g) 1/2 cup sugar (85 g) 5 g vanilla sugar 500 ml milk 40 g white chocolate pistachios (can be replaced with any nuts or coconut) Cooking steps: 1. In a saucepan, combine flour, cornstarch, sugar, vanilla sugar and milk. 2. Cook the mixture over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. 3. Remove from heat, add chocolate and mix well. 4. Divide dessert among coffee cups and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. 5. Serve with crushed pistachios or other nuts/coconut. Thank you for watching!
