2027: Labour Party on the Right Track -Iroegbu Emenike

The Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party in Abia State, Emenike Iroegbu, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state has lost political direction. Speaking on The Platform on FLO FM, Iroegbu argued that the APC’s alleged plan to unseat Governor Alex Otti has suffered a major setback following what he described as the “latest twist” in the party’s internal arrangements. He was reacting to the recent zoning directive by the APC in Abia, which he said has further exposed confusion within the opposition party. According to him, the development has weakened the APC’s chances ahead of future elections, insisting that the party may struggle to win any major position in the state. Iroegbu maintained that the Labour Party remains focused on governance and strengthening its structures, expressing confidence that the party will retain public support going into the next general elections. He added that recent political moves by the APC suggest a lack of clear strategy, noting that Abia voters are now more interested in performance and stability than political maneuvering.
