Il Vescovo Mascagna; domenica il suo ingresso a Pescia

Following his solemn ordination in Pistoia, on Sunday, June 28, Monsignor Augusto Mascagna will officially enter the Diocese of Pescia. The day's packed program will include visits to places of devotion and solidarity, culminating in a major city celebration. The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Monsummano with a tribute to Mary at the Fontenuova Sanctuary. Subsequently, the Bishop will visit the patients of the Pescia Hospital and the elderly and priests living at Villa Matilde. The most anticipated moment for the faithful will begin in the afternoon with a festive gathering with youth groups at the former Flower Market. From there, they will walk to Porta Fiorentina, where a representative of the Lega dei Rioni will welcome the Bishop with a flag-waving and drumming show, formally handing him the keys to the city. Finally, the procession will accompany Monsignor Mascagna to the Cathedral for the Eucharistic celebration marking the beginning of his ministry. A comprehensive security plan has been put in place for the occasion, with dedicated shuttle buses. The entire Sunday event will be broadcast live on TVL.
