The Media Lied, America Was NOTHING Like We Thought 🇺🇸

We spent 6 months travelling the USA and THIS is what we found. After months on the road, something started to feel off. If you only followed the news, you would think America was a place defined by division, tension, and constant noise. We believed that before we arrived. Travelling with a camera, we expected closed doors, cold shoulders, and moments we would rather avoid. But almost immediately, that version of America never appeared. Instead, we found people who brought us in without hesitation. Strangers who turned into friends within minutes at tailgates. Long, easy conversations in bars, diners, and roadside stops. Food that was never just about what was on the plate, but about community, pride, and the place it came from. Alabama stood out more than anywhere else. It became the heart of the entire trip, a place where everything slowed down and people had time for you. Hospitality was not something put on for show, it was simply how life worked. Some of our strongest connections were made there, and in many ways, what this channel has become is tied to those experiences. From the bayous of Louisiana through the Deep South, across Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kentucky, and out west into landscapes that feel almost unreal, we kept running into the same thing. A kind of openness and warmth that never made it into the headlines. This is not a highlight reel. It is a reflection of everything we did not expect to find, and it changed how we see the country completely. 👨🏻‍💻 Give us a follow on your favorite social media:   / jackaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel   👋🏼 Support us!
